Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDM) - formerly known as Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Plan 

Sound It Out Speech Pathology is a registered provider with Medicare. Medicare rebates may be available for some children under the Chronic Disease Management Program (formally known as the Enhanced Primary Care plan)  Medicare rebates are able to be processed after the session at the time of payment. Helping Children with Autism – assessment services Item Number: 82005

This item allows eligible allied health professionals, including Speech Pathologists to provide up to four sessions of assessment to assist the referring medical practitioner in making a formal diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder for children under the age of 13 years. These sessions must be approved for use in writing by a Paediatrician or Psychiatrist.

 

Helping Children with Autism – therapy services Item Number: 82020

This item allows eligible allied health professionals, including Speech Pathologists, to provide up to 20 sessions of early intervention treatment to a child diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. These sessions must be approved for use in writing by a Paediatrician. To be eligible the child must be under 15 years of age with a diagnosis of Autism that was provided before 13 years of age.
